Ingredients

Scale
  • Olive oil
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 80ml apple vinegar
  • 500g tomato passata
  • 240ml beef stock
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 6 crusty white rolls
  • 100g butter
  • 200g mozzarella cheese
  • 30g parmesan for butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves, made into paste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan; sauté diced onion until golden brown. Add minced garlic, then ground beef, cooking until thoroughly browned.
  2. Stir in tomato puree and apple vinegar; let reduce for flavor balance. Add tomato passata, beef stock, herbs, and seasonings. Simmer for about 25 minutes until thickened.
  3. Prepare the bread rolls by hollowing them out after cutting off the tops; brush inside and outside with melted butter mixed with garlic paste, parsley, and parmesan.
  4. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain and toss directly into the sauce.
  5. Fill each hollowed roll generously with spaghetti mixture, top with shredded mozzarella.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes until bread is crispy and cheese is melted.
