  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Transfer the meat to the slow cooker and add kidney beans, black beans, crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and broth.
  3. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
