  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 large eggs, divided
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat; sauté diced onions until soft. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms; cook until browned.
  3. Season with thyme, salt, black pepper, and stir in cream cheese and cheeses until creamy.
  4. Unroll the puff pastry and cut strips along the sides; add filling in the center.
  5. Fold strips over the filling to create a braid and brush with beaten egg.
