  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add egg and gently combine without overmixing.
  3. Shape mixture into 20 uniform meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook meatballs in batches until golden brown on all sides (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  5. Remove from skillet and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  6. For tzatziki: Combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (excess water squeezed out), garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  7. Chill tzatziki for at least 15 minutes before serving alongside meatballs.
