  • 3 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 23 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk with yeast. Let it activate for a few minutes.
  2. Add sugar, flour, egg, salt, and softened butter. Mix into a shaggy dough.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 15 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise until doubled (about 90 minutes).
  5. Punch down the dough and shape into 12 equal balls; place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush with an egg wash and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake rolls for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Melt garlic butter ingredients together; brush over warm rolls before serving.
