  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (plus 1 teaspoon)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 package refrigerated cinnamon rolls with frosting

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine apple pie filling and fresh apples with sugar, water, butter, and cinnamon. Cook until warmed through.
  2. Stir in the cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the filling.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the cinnamon rolls slightly.
  4. Layer half of the rolled-out dough in a greased pie dish. Pour the apple filling on top and cover with the remaining dough.
