  • 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the tortellini cooks, slice the mushrooms and chop the sage.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add sage and crisp it up, then set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter, sliced mushrooms, and minced garlic; sauté until browned.
  5. Drain the tortellini and add it to the skillet along with the remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Mix well and season with salt and pepper before serving.
