  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup non-alcoholic bourbon flavoring or vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces toffee chips
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add melted butter, non-alcoholic bourbon flavoring (or vanilla), and egg; mix until creamy.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in toffee chips and chopped pecans.
  5. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until slightly golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for one minute before transferring them to wire racks.
