  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, then add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the meat is cooked and the onions are soft.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the torn buns at the bottom. Add half of the meat mixture and drizzle some special sauce on top.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining buns, meat mixture, and special sauce. Top with shredded cheddar and American cheese slices.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before adding fresh toppings like lettuce and pickles.
