  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 300g dark chocolate (for frosting)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for frosting)
  • 1 1/4 cup heavy cream (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk mixture, and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until incorporated.
  5. Sift in cocoa powder and instant coffee; add boiling water for consistency.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
